Short cruises from Mobile: no 3-day trips, and the shortest instead

The shortest cruise from Mobile is 6 nights, and most 6-night trips run Sunday to Saturday. Are there 3-day cruises from Mobile, AL?

No. The shortest cruise from Mobile on our schedule is 6 nights, and there is no 3-, 4- or 5-night trip. CruiseTimetables' list of Mobile departures, which runs to 15 April 2028, has nothing shorter than 6 nights either. Carnival's own announcement of October 2025 describes Carnival Valor's regular Mobile trips as six- to eight-day sailings.

If you were hoping for a long weekend at sea from Mobile, the nearest thing is a 6-night trip that leaves on a Sunday afternoon and is back early the next Saturday. The rest of this guide is about those trips.

What is the shortest cruise from Mobile?

A 6-night Carnival trip. Our schedule lists 26 of them, from 22 November 2026 to 9 April 2028, on Carnival Spirit until February 2027 and on Carnival Valor from May 2027. Carnival sells them as "6 Day" cruises, and the number counts nights: on Cruisebound's itineraries they leave Mobile at 3:30 PM on day one and are back at 8:00 AM on day seven.

Fares are from 4 November 2026, per person for the cheapest cabin listed, with taxes and port fees included. Carnival Spirit has 7 of these trips and Carnival Valor 19.

Every 6-night Bahamas trip on the schedule stops at Celebration Key and at one other island. Valor's trips from May to November 2027 pair it with Bimini, and her 2028 Bahamas trips with Nassau. Her Western Caribbean trips, in December 2027 and January and April 2028, call at Cozumel and Belize City.

What does a 6-night cruise from Mobile look like?

Three days at sea and two port days, on every 6-night itinerary we read. On a Sunday departure you spend Monday at sea, call at two ports on Tuesday and Wednesday, then sail home through Thursday and Friday.

Carnival Valor's Bahamas trips flip the order. On her trip of 23 May 2027 the ship is at Bimini from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday and at Celebration Key from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday. The Bahamas guide and the Western Caribbean guide compare the ports.

Are there weekend cruises from Mobile?

No cruise from Mobile starts and ends inside one weekend. What Mobile has is trips that leave at the weekend: on our schedule the 8-night trips mostly leave on a Saturday and the 6-night trips mostly on a Sunday. Three departures break the pattern by leaving on a Monday. Carnival Spirit's 6-night trip of 11 January 2027 comes back on Sunday 17 January, and Carnival Valor's 6-night trip of 27 December 2027 comes back on Sunday 2 January 2028, both at 8:00 AM. The third Monday departure is Spirit's 16-night one-way voyage of 29 March 2027, which ends in Seattle.

Is there a 7-night cruise from Mobile?

Yes, two, back to back in November 2027. Both are on Carnival Valor and run Saturday to Saturday. The 7-night Bahamas trip of 13 November 2027 calls at Key West, Celebration Key and Nassau. The 7-night Western Caribbean trip of 20 November calls at Roatán, Belize City and Cozumel, and is in Cozumel on Thanksgiving Day, 25 November.

How does a short cruise from Mobile fit a week off work?

A 6-night trip uses five weekdays, Monday to Friday, by our count. You leave on Sunday afternoon and are back at 8:00 AM on Saturday. The 7-night and 8-night trips use the same five weekdays, because they leave on a Saturday and come back at the weekend.

So if your limit is one working week, an 8-night trip costs you no more weekdays than a 6-night one, only an extra weekend day at each end. Your boarding pass gives the final boarding time for your sailing. The terminal guide covers arrival times, and the drive guide covers getting there.

Is a 6-night cruise from Mobile cheaper than an 8-night one?

In total, often only by a little. When we checked on 4 November 2026, the cheapest 6-night fare was just below the cheapest 8-night fare, and an 8-night trip had the lowest fare per night on the whole schedule. A short trip is not automatically the cheaper way to spend a week away.
