The closest hotel to Mobile's cruise terminal is Fort Condé Inn, across Water Street in Fort Condé Village. On our route it is a 4-minute walk to the Alabama Cruise Terminal. The Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza, on Water Street, is 7 minutes away, and all nine downtown hotels here are within 12 minutes on foot.
The table above has 16 hotels in three groups:
- 10 in or near downtown: nine within a 12-minute walk, plus The Kate Shepard House, a bed and breakfast 7 minutes away by car
- 2 farther out with a park-and-cruise package, both 14 minutes from the terminal by car
- 4 near Mobile Regional Airport (MOB), 8 to 14 minutes from the airport terminal
What we say about each hotel comes from its own website or its brand's page for the property, as it read on 4 November 2026. The times are ours, measured on OpenStreetMap from each hotel's address to the terminal building at 201 S. Water Street, without traffic. We print no room rates. This site is independent of the hotels, the City of Mobile and Carnival. Our terminal guide covers the building itself.
Which hotel is closest to the Mobile cruise terminal?
Fort Condé Inn, at 165 Saint Emanuel Street, is the closest. On our route it is a 4-minute walk, about a fifth of a mile, or a 1-minute drive, and the inn's own page puts the terminal 0.2 miles away. Next is the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza, at 64 South Water Street, a 7-minute walk.
The Admiral Hotel on Government Street and Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Historic District on Royal Street are 9 minutes away on foot. Hampton's page lists the terminal at 0.25 miles; our route is 0.44 miles.
Can you walk to the Alabama Cruise Terminal from a downtown hotel?
Yes. All nine downtown hotels here are within 12 minutes of the terminal on foot, and none of the walks is longer than two thirds of a mile. By car, each is 1 to 3 minutes from the terminal. Five of the nine also let you leave your car while you cruise, as the next section explains.
Our routes, measured on 4 November 2026:
| Hotel | On foot | By car |

| The Admiral Hotel | 9 minutes, 0.46 miles | 2 minutes |
| Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Historic District | 9 minutes, 0.44 miles | 3 minutes |

If you'd rather not walk with bags, the terminal has six covered pickup and drop-off lanes in its parking deck, according to the City of Mobile.
Which Mobile hotels offer park and cruise?
Seven of the 16 do. Five are downtown: the Renaissance Riverview Plaza, The Battle House, Fort Condé Inn, The Admiral and Malaga Inn. Two are farther out: Holiday Inn Mobile West - I-10 in Tillmans Corner and Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport off I-65. Each lets you leave one car while you sail, on terms that differ from hotel to hotel.
The details, as each hotel's page put them on 4 November 2026:
- Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza, Park & Cruise Package. A room the night before you sail, free parking for one vehicle for the whole cruise and a round-trip shuttle to the terminal for up to five guests. Promotional code ES7, for stays from 7 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. You show your cruise tickets at check-in.
- The Battle House, Park & Cruise Package. A night in a deluxe room, parking for one vehicle throughout the cruise and transportation for five to and from the terminal. Promotional code E4000, same stay dates.
- Fort Condé Inn. If you stay the night before or after your cruise, it says you can park free and leave the car while you sail. No shuttle; it is a 4-minute walk.
- The Admiral Hotel, Park & Travel Package. Parking for one vehicle for the length of your cruise when you stay before it. Show your boarding passes at check-in. Its parking is valet only.
- Malaga Inn, Park & Cruise. The room rate plus "$7 per day of parking", subject to availability.
- Holiday Inn Mobile West - I-10, Park and Cruise Package. Parking for one vehicle for the cruise, a round-trip shuttle to the terminal and breakfast for up to four guests. The hotel is 14 minutes from the terminal by car.
- Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport, Park and Cruise package. A night, breakfast for two sharing a room and parking for one vehicle for up to 10 days. A shuttle to the terminal costs extra; the hotel asks you to contact it for the price.
None of these pages gives a package price. Both Renaissance packages cover stays up to 1 February 2027, so on 4 November 2026 they didn't reach Carnival Spirit's February and March sailings. For the city's own deck at the terminal, see our parking guide.
Is there a hotel shuttle to the Mobile cruise terminal?
Yes, at four hotels, and only with a package or for a fee. The Renaissance Riverview Plaza and The Battle House include a shuttle for up to five in their Park & Cruise packages. Holiday Inn Mobile West - I-10 includes one in its package, and Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport runs one for an extra fee.
No hotel here lists a free ride to the terminal without a package. The downtown hotels are a 4 to 12 minute walk, so most cruisers there won't need one. The two Renaissance hotels are 7 and 11 minutes away on foot.
How much is hotel parking near the Mobile cruise terminal?
Downtown, published rates on 4 November 2026 ran from free at Fort Condé Inn, Malaga Inn and Candlewood Suites to $29 a day for valet at The Battle House. All four airport hotels and both Holiday Inns farther out park you free. These are rates while you stay; the park-and-cruise offers above cover the car while you sail.
Published parking on 4 November 2026, lowest first:
- Free: Fort Condé Inn, with a stay the night before or after your cruise; Malaga Inn, off-street and "subject to availability"; Candlewood Suites, one car per reservation; Holiday Inn Mobile West - I-10, with room for RVs and buses; Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport, while you stay; and all four airport hotels
- $12 a day self parking: Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown, with in and out ($20 on special event nights)
- $19.72 a day self parking or $4 an hour, $26.68 valet: Renaissance Riverview Plaza
- $20 a day self parking: Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, with in and out
- $25 a night, valet only: The Admiral, which says rates may vary at busy times such as Mardi Gras
- $29 a day valet: The Battle House, which can't take trailers, box trucks, RVs or dual-wheeled vehicles
- A fee, price not given: Holiday Inn Downtown, at a garage next door that the hotel says it isn't affiliated with
- No price given: The Kate Shepard House, where you park in the driveway
We found no resort or destination fee on any of the 16 hotels' pages. Malaga Inn adds a 3.5% service fee to credit card payments.
Should you stay downtown or near the Mobile airport before a cruise?
Stay downtown if you want to walk to the ship. All nine downtown hotels here are within 12 minutes on foot, and five of them have a park-and-cruise offer. An airport hotel suits a late flight into Mobile Regional Airport (MOB), about 14 miles from the cruise terminal on Airport Boulevard or 21 by interstate, roughly half an hour either way without traffic.
- Downtown. The shortest cruise morning and most of the cruise parking offers. Malaga Inn's policies page said on 4 November 2026 that both its elevators are out of service, so its upper-floor rooms are stairs only.
- Near MOB. Hampton Inn & Suites Mobile Airport University Area and Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile Airport-University Area, side by side on Providence Park Drive, are 8 minutes from the MOB terminal on our routes and 22 from the cruise terminal. Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mobile - University Area is 12 minutes from MOB, and Days Inn by Wyndham Semmes/Mobile is 14.
- Free airport shuttle. Hampton Inn & Suites Mobile Airport University Area runs one to MOB. Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport, off I-65, runs one from 6 am to 11 pm if you reserve ahead. Homewood Suites and Holiday Inn Express say they don't.
Which airport you fly into depends on your sailing date. The Mobile Airport Authority says American, Delta and United fly from MOB, and that airline service moves to the new terminal at Mobile International Airport (BFM) when it opens, which it expects in spring 2027. Until then, the flights stay at MOB. For any cruise from March 2027 on, including every Carnival Valor sailing from 15 May 2027, check which airport your flight uses. Our airport guide covers the ride to the terminal.
What time is check-in and check-out at Mobile cruise hotels?
Check-out is 11 am at every hotel that states it. Check-in is 4 pm at The Battle House, the Riverview Plaza, The Admiral, Hampton Inn Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, Candlewood Suites and the Hampton near the airport. It is 3 pm at Holiday Inn Downtown, Malaga Inn, both Holiday Inns farther out, Homewood Suites and Holiday Inn Express.
The Kate Shepard House checks guests in between 3 pm and 7 pm. Fort Condé Inn's site and the Days Inn's page don't give times, so ask when you book. Most of the hotels set a minimum check-in age of 21, including both Renaissance hotels, every IHG hotel here, The Admiral and Malaga Inn.
Which Mobile cruise hotels include breakfast?
Five list a free breakfast: Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown, both hotels on Providence Park Drive, Holiday Inn Express & Suites University Area and the Days Inn, which offers "a free light breakfast item". Two park-and-cruise packages add breakfast: for up to four guests at Holiday Inn Mobile West - I-10, and for two at Holiday Inn Mobile - Airport.
Hilton Garden Inn Downtown charges for breakfast. At The Admiral, breakfast comes only with some rates and offers. Candlewood Suites has full kitchens in every suite and no restaurant.
