Every Bahamas cruise from Mobile on this schedule is a Carnival round trip from the Alabama Cruise Terminal, and every one stops at Celebration Key, Carnival's own port on Grand Bahama. Mobile sits a long way up the Gulf from the islands. The ship spends its first full day at sea and two more on the way home, so a 6-night trip has two island days.

There are 50 of them, from 14 November 2026 to 15 April 2028. On 4 November 2026 fares ran from $378 to $1,362 per person, for the cheapest cabin listed, with taxes and port fees included. The table at the end of this guide lists every sailing.

Can you take a cruise from Mobile, Alabama to the Bahamas?

Yes, and it is most of what leaves Mobile: 50 of the 59 sailings on our schedule, from 14 November 2026 to 15 April 2028. All are Carnival round trips from the Alabama Cruise Terminal. They last 6 or 8 nights, with one 7-night trip, and every one calls at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama.

Two ships sail them. Carnival Spirit runs the Bahamas trips until mid-March 2027 and leaves Mobile for good on 29 March 2027. Nothing departs between then and 15 May 2027, when Carnival Valor takes over as the year-round ship. Carnival said in October 2025 that Valor would offer six- to eight-day sailings from Mobile to the Bahamas, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key.

Which Bahamas ports do Mobile cruises visit?

Celebration Key on every trip. The 6-night trips add one more stop: Bimini, Nassau or Princess Cays. The 8-night trips add Nassau and either Princess Cays or RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Carnival Spirit's 8-night trips in the winter of 2026 to 2027 also call at Key West, Florida, on the way out.

Across the whole schedule, Nassau is on 34 trips, Princess Cays on 17, Bimini on 14, Half Moon Cay on 12 and Key West on 9. Two of these islands appear on only part of the schedule:

  • Bimini is only on the 6-night trips, and the last one that calls there leaves on 7 November 2027. Valor's later 6-night trips go to Nassau instead.
  • RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay is only on the 8-night trips. The last one on our schedule leaves on 8 January 2028, and after that Valor's 8-night trips call at Princess Cays.

Carnival now calls Half Moon Cay "RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay", and its own itinerary pages for Mobile use the new name. Cruisebound and the table on this page still list it as Half Moon Cay. It is the same island.

How many sea days does a Bahamas cruise from Mobile have?

Three on most trips, and four on Carnival Valor's 8-night trips. Every Bahamas cruise from Mobile leaves at 3:30pm and spends the next day at sea. On the way back the ship spends two days at sea and docks in Mobile at 8am. Valor's 8-night trips add a second sea day before the first stop instead of calling at Key West.

These are three real sailings, with times as Cruisebound listed them on 4 November 2026. Carnival's own pages for the 6-night and 8-night trips show the same pattern. Times are local, and Carnival can change them.

The order of the stops changes during the year:

  • Valor's 6-night trips from 23 May to 15 August 2027, and Spirit's of 6 December 2026, go to Bimini first, from 11am to 7pm on the Tuesday, and reach Celebration Key on the Wednesday.
  • Valor's 8-night trips of 1 April 2028 and 15 April 2028 run backwards: Nassau on the Tuesday, Princess Cays on the Wednesday and Celebration Key on the Thursday.
  • On Spirit's trip of 6 March 2027 Nassau comes before RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay: the ship is in Nassau on the Wednesday from 9am to 5pm and at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay on the Thursday.

The 6-night trips normally leave on a Sunday and return on a Saturday, and the 8-night trips leave on a Saturday and return on a Sunday. These break the pattern: the 8-night trip of 3 January 2027 leaves on a Sunday, and the 6-night trip of 11 January 2027 on a Monday.

Is there a 7-night Bahamas cruise from Mobile?

Yes, one: Carnival Valor's trip of Saturday 13 November 2027. It leaves at 3:30pm, spends Sunday at sea, then calls at Key West, Celebration Key and Nassau on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8am to 4pm each day. Two sea days follow, and the ship is back in Mobile at 8am on the Saturday.

On 4 November 2026 its fare was $547 per person. The only other 7-night cruise from Mobile on our schedule is the Western Caribbean trip of 20 November 2027, which our Western Caribbean guide covers.

What is Celebration Key?

Carnival's own cruise port on the south side of Grand Bahama island, and the one stop every Bahamas trip from Mobile shares. Carnival splits it into five areas it calls portals: Paradise Plaza, Starfish Lagoon, Calypso Lagoon, Pearl Cove Beach Club and Lokono Cove. Its guide puts the walk from the ship to Paradise Plaza at 6 to 10 minutes.

On a 6-night trip Celebration Key is one of only two port days, so these details from Carnival's destination guide matter more than usual:

  • Beach chairs, umbrellas and freshwater showers are free, and each guest gets one free meal at a walk-up food venue with the Sail & Sign card.
  • Trams run around the site once you are ashore.
  • Onboard drink packages do not carry over to Celebration Key, and you must be 21 to buy alcohol there.
  • Pearl Cove Beach Club is for guests 18 and over and costs extra. Carnival also sells cabanas, daybeds, water rentals, upgraded dining and shore excursions.
  • The Sail & Sign card works at the restaurants but not in the shops, so bring cash or a credit card for souvenirs.
  • You cannot bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, tents or pool floats ashore.

What are the other Bahamas stops like?

Nassau is the one city stop. Carnival describes Princess Cays and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay as private beach destinations. Bimini is the westernmost island group in the Bahamas, and Key West is a Florida stop on some of the longer trips.

Nassau. Carnival calls it the historic and cultural heart of the Bahamas. Its page points to the straw market, the 18th-century colonial streets and the Queen's Staircase, and to the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, which a bridge connects to Nassau.

Princess Cays. A private resort on the island of Eleuthera, in Carnival's words. Guests come ashore at what Carnival calls Love Boat Marina, and Carnival rents private beach bungalows there.

RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. Carnival says the destination has been expanded and renamed, that guests arrive by pier or by water shuttle, and that it has added free lunch spots. It lists more than a mile of white-sand beach, and horseback riding, kayaking and swimming with stingrays among the things to do.

Bimini. Carnival calls these the westernmost islands of the Bahamas, says the center of the action is Alice Town, and names fishing, diving and beach time as the things to do.

Key West. The southernmost island of the Florida Keys. Carnival suggests the Hemingway and Audubon houses and the southernmost point in the United States.

When do Bahamas cruises leave Mobile?

For most of the year, with a gap in spring 2027 while Carnival changes ships. Carnival Spirit's Bahamas trips run from November 2026 to mid-March 2027. Carnival Valor's start on 15 May 2027 and run through the summer and on into 2028, apart from the weeks she sails her longer Carnival Journeys voyages and her Western Caribbean trips. The table at the end shows which weeks have no Bahamas departure.

The National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October and the peak on 10 September. Valor's trips from June to November 2027 are inside the season, and those from mid-August to mid-October fall in its busiest stretch. The month-by-month schedule and our season guide show what else leaves Mobile each month.

How much does a Bahamas cruise from Mobile cost?

On 4 November 2026 the lowest Bahamas fare was $378 per person and the highest $1,362, for the cheapest cabin listed, with taxes and port fees included. The lowest worked out at $49 a night. Fares move often, so check the sailing you want.

LengthSailingsFares on 4 November 2026Lowest per night
6 nights22$378 to $981$63
7 nights1$547$78
8 nights27$392 to $1,362$49

Look at the per-night column as well as the total. An 8-night trip costs more to book, but it can work out cheaper for each night on board.

The fare is only part of the cost. If you drive, read our guides to cruise parking in Mobile and driving to the terminal. The ship leaves at 3:30pm, so if you fly in, see the airport guide or the hotels near the terminal. For the lowest fares on every route, see cheap cruises from Mobile.

Do you need a passport for a Bahamas cruise from Mobile?

Not if you are a U.S. citizen on one of these round trips, though a passport book is the safer choice. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says a closed-loop cruise, one that starts and ends at the same U.S. port and stays in the Western Hemisphere, can be taken with a government-issued photo ID and proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate.

Carnival accepts that pairing for U.S.-born citizens, but not a mobile or digital ID. CBP also warns that the countries a ship visits may still ask for a passport. Carnival recommends a passport book for everyone and says it is the only document that will get you home by air from abroad in an emergency, since the passport card is not valid for flights outside the United States. Our cruise documents guide has the rest.

Should you pick a 6-night or an 8-night Bahamas cruise from Mobile?

Pick 6 nights if you want the shortest trip Mobile offers. It runs Sunday to Saturday and gives you two island days. Pick 8 nights for a third stop, or a fourth on Carnival Spirit's trips with Key West. Those run Saturday to Sunday, so they take in part of two weekends.

Nothing on our schedule is shorter than 6 nights: Carnival sails no 3, 4 or 5-night cruises from Mobile in the data we check. Our short cruises guide covers that in more detail. If the islands matter less than the length, Carnival Valor's 6-night Western Caribbean trips to Cozumel and Belize City run on the same Sunday to Saturday pattern from December 2027.

The Bahamas destination page lists the same sailings with a link to each, and the table below has every date.
